MicroScan DLP-D Overview |
The MicroScan DLP-D is a security device attached to the computer that allows the MicroScan software to run properly. It attaches to a USB port only.
The dongle contains both module information and a serial number to track the MicroScan software used on your site. |
The dongle should be attached to the computer after Version 5 is installed, but before it is run for the first time and left attached to the computer at all times. It is recommended to connect the dongle to the USB ports at the rear of the computer to prevent inadvertent removal should the dongle be attached to the front of the computer.
Computer ID refers to a previous locking system using a lic*.txt file that
locked the software onto a computer ID number.
LM Dongle refers to a previous locking system using a lic*.txt file that locked
