When adding a 2100-A16 station with the Add Station Wizard, it adds a station, but it is added as an IN2000-AI.

Solution

This means that you are adding a station linked for RS485 (2 wire) on a dataloop that is wired for RS422 (4 wire).
Please check the H3 links are linked in the L1 and L2 positions, and add the station again.

Note: As of Sep 2008 update, V5 can detect this condition and will advise with a message box.
