Setup Microscan to use a new Sentinel LM dongle, after old Sentinel LM dongle lost

Notes: This refers to Sentinel LM dongle and not DLP-D dongle which can simply be replaced by attaching new dongle.

I have lost my Sentinel LM dongle (as shown below) and need to replace it with a new one.

Steps:

1. Close MicroScan.
2. Using My Computer browse to c:\microscan
3. Delete the file lservrc
4. Start MicroScan
5. When V5 starts it will load a trial licence, which may say that it is expired. This is normal. Attach the new dongle. Use the Register Software Link on Setup Tools to load the lic*.txt file supplied that matches the new dongle.
