This information is provided only for users wishing to remove MicroScan V4 from a computer and never have any intention of using MicroScan software again.

Start Setup Manager (find on start menu or c:\in2000\syscon.exe).
Click System Stop.
Click Yes on reminder dialog.
Step 2. Stop MicroScan from autostarting when windows starts
Start Setup Manager (find on start menu or c:\in2000\syscon.exe)
Click System Setup
Click "Start MicroScan when Windows starts" off.
Click OK.
Do a trial reboot to make sure that microscan does not start. If it still starts it is possible a shortcut is in the Programs Startup group.
Step 3. Delete MicroScan folder
Using My computer, browse to c drive.
Find the folder "in2000"
Delete this folder.
ONLY DO SO IF YOU ARE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP OR YOU DO NOT WISH TO USE
MICROSCAN V4 AGAIN.
Note: If upgrading to V5 you should import v4 setups and data into v5 before
deleting any v4 information first. We will not be able to help if you delete v4
settings without bringing that data into v5 first.
The V5 CD you will be supplied with does not include setup data and if
rebuilding a system will need the setups and data from the old computer.
