FAQ

DLP-D Dongle not found on computer (drivers not loaded)

When a DLP-D dongle is attached to the computer, the DLP-D is not found, and windows cannot load the drivers for the dongle.

If you look at the properties for the dongle, windows will say drivers not loaded.

Cause

This is because a previous version of the DLP-D drivers has been loaded on the computer, either another FTDI based device or USB-485, and windows cannot auto load the DLP-D drivers because they are not loaded on the computer properly. This fault will occur if the omnilog software has been loaded on a computer, and then the MicroScan DLP-D version is loaded on after that.

Solution:

On the install CD, in setup\dongle folder, a set of extracted dongle files will be found, browse to this location to load the drivers for the DLP-D.
