If Find Stations reports 32 stations found, there are several causes:

a) the find stations operation is being attempted on a modem, and thus all data is being echoed back to the computer.

b) the comms wiring of stations has a short circuit or station linking problem that is causing the TX data sent out to come back as RX data in.

c) a station linked for RS485 has been wired into a RS422 data loop. Check the links on the station are positioned in the L1 and L2 side of H2 as shown below.
