To setup the A16 for Modbus RTU use (serial connection via RS232, 422 or 485) - we use the MicroScan software to assign a station number and program ranges into the unit and then insert the S1-6 link for Modbus RTU use.

Setup steps

• S1-6 links out of unit and power up
  
  
• Add Station To MicroScan and Setup Ranges
  You will need to know the serial number written on lid of station.
  Use Add Station Wizard and Program Station Setups. 
  
   
• Power down station and insert RTU link
  Rev1.2 & Rev 1.3 S1-6 link IN.
  
  
• Power up station
