How To Setup - Math Line |
A Math line is used to take the value of up to 4 recorders lines, apply a
formula and return the result.
This could be used to copy the value of a line into another line or do a
calculation on a lines value.
A math line does not count towards the number of lines used in the Recorder. For
Example, it is possible on a Lite 16 software to read 16 inputs from an
outstation, and use 4 lines on another page producing math calculations on the
average values of probes 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16.
To Create a Math Line, on The Line Setup dialog, click the "Math Input" checkbox.
Click "Math Settings" to setup the math line details.
Select a function, and choose the lines to be used as inputs A,B,C,D as
required by the formula.
In this example above, the copy function is used. The source line is P1 L1 North
West Side, and the value goes into this line being edited, Page 1, Line 7.
Extra formulas can be written on request, and an update file math32.dll supplied.
