To use alarm suspend, each line needs its "Allow Alarm Suspend" setting checked. To do so, go to the Setup Tools screen, click on Configure Pages and Lines.

On the Main Editing window, double click the line required and click the "Alarm Setup" category.

Click "Allow Alarm Suspend" on and click OK.
