RS 232
If the station is RS232, it is connected directly to a COM port on the computer using the supplied RJ-11 gray cable and 9 pin connector.
RS 422
If the station(s) are RS422 they are connected via a 4 core cable to a 2100-IS, or 2100-NS, which is then connected to the COM port of the computer. Power is applied to 2100-IS, 2100-NS via supplied plug pack or to IN2000-IS via mains supply.

The 2100-IS, NS is linked for RS422 operation. The station comms links are in
L1,L2.
The cable should be low capacitance data cable. It can be up to 1200m in length.
RS 485
If the station(s) are RS485 they are connected via a 2 core cable to a 2100-IS, or 2100-NS, which is then connected to the COM port of the computer. Power is applied to 2100-IS, 2100-NS via supplied plug pack or to IN2000-IS via mains supply.
