In this newsletter we have the webinar recording about our Hydrostatic level transmitters which was presented by Craig Bennett.
Hydrostatic level transmitters are designed to measure the level of clean or contaminated liquids.
How does it work?
The pressure sensor at the bottom of the probe measures the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid column above it and compares with the atmospheric pressure. The atmospheric pressure is led to the sensor through a breathing capillary built into the cable.
This enables the atmospheric pressure to be subtracted from the measured pressure to get the hydrostatic pressure which is proportional to the height of the liquid column. The electronics converts the sensor’s signal into an output signal.
We have excellent stock of Hydrostatic Level Transmitters from multiple specialist suppliers including Jumo, Nivelco and the Intech LLT. Intech have Level Transmitters for a number of various applications such as clean water, through to viscous sewage / slurry and Diesel.
Accessories include:
• NAA-101, Terminal Box with filter. • NAA-209 Hanging Cable Clamp. • Pressure equalization filter for cable.
We strongly recommend that overvoltage protection device(s) are used with the Transmitters if long runs of cable are involved in the Installation. These protect against potential Lightning strike or earth potential rises.
We offer two solutions for this:
• NAA-102, similar to NAA-101 but with integral Over Voltage Protection in-built. • LPN-OVP, DIN Rail mounting at the control board end of circuit.

I started with Intech in 2018, replacing Jasher Simmons in the Auckland office. I was fortunate to get spme time with him as an initial introduction into the extensive range of products Intech provides. I come from a background of 30 years of experience in electronic manufacturing; starting from the workshop floor and ending up as a business owner for 12 of those years. It has given me a broad understanding of business and the importance of providing good products and customer service.
I have known Intech for more than 30 years, as we supplied them with some of our products.
I have always had a great working relationship with the Intech team and believe this to be a reflection on the type of company they are, which is a “people first” company.
I look forward to increasing my product knowledge to better provide solutions and solving problems which is an aspect of the job I most enjoy.
