HBSO1 - Oil Switch (150bar):

HBSO

The HBSO1 is a level switch for detecting common lubricating oils in refrigeration systems. Typically it is installed in/on the compressor and the oil separator, but it is also suited for installation in other locations in the oil system. The sensor's measurement principle makes it unique for these purposes, since the properties of the measurement principle allows it, among other things, to detect oil without detecting refrigerant.
It is calibrated so that it is unaffected by oil spray and only allows a small amount of foam. The sensor is also constructed so as to resist high pressure and temperatures.

The sensor is suited for use on transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems.

Reacts on oil but not on refrigerant.

HBSR - Level Sensor (100bar):

HBSR

The HBSR is a level switch for detection of common refrigerants, including NH3, HFC and brine.
Typically it is installed in/on the refrigerant vessels, pump separators, economisers, heat exchangers, or as an oil-accumulation-alarm in ammonia systems. The sensor's measurement principle makes it unique for these purposes, since the properties of the measurement principle enable it, among other things, to detect phase separation between oil and ammonia. The sensor is also built to resist high pressure and low temperatures.

The HBSR is not suitable for use on CO2 systems.

Reacts on refrigerant (-CO2) water and brine, but not on oil (even with an oil coating).
