Demo Setup A16
via Modbus TCP |
To setup the A16 for Modbus TCP use (Ethernet connection) - we use the
MicroScan software to assign a station number and program ranges into the unit
and then insert the TCP link for Modbus TCP use.
Setup steps
- S1-5 and S1-6 links out of unit and power up
- Use XPORT Installer to assign an IP address (see Setup Demo 2100-A16-NET via
XPORT Installer)
NOTE: For Modbus Use, set Local Port to 502
- Add Station To MicroScan and Setup Ranges
You will need to know the IP address, and serial number written on lid
of station.
Use Add Station Wizard and Program Station Setups.
NOTE: Assign station number to station 1 as quite often PLCs and scada
packages will only work with the unit number of a unit set at unit 1.
- Power down station and insert TCP link
Rev1.3 S1-5 link IN.
Rev1.2 S1-6 link IN.
- Power up station
Refer to 2100-A16 REV1.3 manual for list of modbus addresses (section F in 2100-A16
Installation Guide).
