The comms alarm settings determines what will happen when a station comms fails.

To setup,

• Click the Comms Alarm button on the Recorders Alarm Settings dialog box
  accessed from Setup Tools, Recorder Details, or Alarm Menu, Alarm Settings.

These settings act as a global override to each lines "Comms Alarms" settings setup in Line Setup, Alarm Settings category.

Enable Comms Alarms - enable if alarms are to be active when the interface reports errors with a station.
Record Station Comms Alarms to Alarm Log - record Comms alarm messages to Log Home, Alarm Log.
Delay Time allows the alarm time to be set when error 1 is found. i.e Normally an alarm is set for 1800 sec high and 300 sec low.
However if a comms alarm is found, this will become 15 seconds.

Setup of Comms Alarms in each line

On the Lines Setup, Alarm Setup category, Enable Alarm on.

Click Comms Alarms
