The Pager software sends a message to a folder on the computer, that is used by the Messaging software for picking up and sending pager messages.

Note: The MMA software or other paging software must be installed to pick up these messages and send them to the Pager.

To access the Pager Settings:

• Click "Pager Messaging" on the Recorders Tools Menu.
• Click the "Pager" button on the Recorder Details window accessed on the Setup Tools screen.

1. To Enable the pager, click "Enable Pager Messaging" on.

2. Then specify a folder to put the pager files:

• Default Directory for jobname\pager
• Custom Directory to specify a folder

3. Select a File Format for the output files.

• V1: Single Line Output
• V2:RFC 822/ARPA Multi Line Output
• V3:RFC 822/ARPA Multi Line Output + Line Value (MMA Mode)

4. Enter the Pager Details

To Enter Pager Details:

• Select a Pager from the list, Enter the Pager Number and Name and click Set.
  (The Name is new for version 5).

To Clear Pager Details:

• Select a Pager from the list and click Clear.

5. Test the Pager.

• Select the Pager from the list and click Send.

If you have problems sending test messages double check the format of the pager number, and especially any formatting characters such as comma, full stop, semi colons and any trailing characters that are required.

Click "View Files" to view the pager file folder. Normally after the pager message has been sent, this folder will be empty, as the pager software deletes the files after they have been sent.

Click "Info" to view a window giving help information on the pagers file formats.

Setting up a line to Send Pager Messages:

• Set up a lines alarms, with Event Messages to describe the alarms.
• Click "Send Event Message To Pager" on the Lines Alarm Setup screen.
