You use the Register Software Wizard to allow the MicroScan software to operate with the modules you have purchased.

To Register the software, you follow two steps.

• Step 1 - Create a Locking File
  
  This creates details in a file that identifies your machine or dongle.
  If you are using a dongle, it should be installed before using this wizard.
  This file (reg.txt) is then emailed to your MicroScan Supplier.
  
  
• Step 2 - Import File
  
  The MicroScan supplier emails you with a licence file (lic*.txt).
  You then go through the wizard step 2, to import this file into MicroScan ready to be used.
  
  
• Predefined Licence supplied on CD for use with Dongle
  
  You can also use the Wizard to load a dongle licence file that has been supplied on your MicroScan CD for use with your dongle.

Once the licence file has been loaded, if needed the Select Module Wizard is then used to confirm that the modules purchased have been set and it will configure your software as required.

Software registration is not required if the software is operated in the Agent or Demo mode.

At any time during the wizard, you can press the Help button to display the page from this section that relates to the screen you are on.

Note: The Register Software steps are not required if MicroScan DLP-D or Rockey2 dongles are used.
