The Recorder uses access codes to prevent access to certain parts of the Recorder.

You can set the Recorder for:

• Single User Access
  
  All users use the same passwords to access and enter information into the Recorder.
  
  
• Multi User Access
  
  All users have their own user names and passwords which provide limited access for each user into the Recorder.
  The Access Log records when users gained and cancelled access.

A timeout is provided that will cancel access automatically after the access has been gained.

The users gain and cancel access using the Access section on the Recorders Home Page, the Access buttons on the Tool or Button bars or via the Recorders Access Menu.

The setup of access is done via Passwords & Users on the Setup Tools screen.

Note:

The Recorder users as set with up Multi User logon are not to be confused with "users" within the Windows Environment such as can be used with "Switch User" in Windows XP.
