Navigation Tree

The Navigation Tree is used to select the Recorder Page to be displayed.

To show or hide the Navigation Tree, see Show/Hide Navigation Tree.

Navigation Tree Display

Click an item to display it.

Items with a + sign next to their name can be opened, Items with a - sign next to their name can be closed.

By default the Recorder Pages cannot be closed by clicking the - sign next to Recorder Home.

Setup Tools gives access to the Setup Tools screen, to setup the MicroScan  software.

The size of the Navigation Tree can be changed using the splitter bar at the right of the Navigation Tree. (move the mouse over the right hand edge, and the pointer will change to a double headed arrow.)

If more than 10 pages (1 Version 4 recorder) are used, they will all be listed under Recorder Home.
Navigation Tree Display - Page Open

When you click on a line within a page, such as North West Side, the Page Title "Cool Store North" will be reselected.

It is not possible to turn lines on/off on the Line Graph using the Navigation Tree. Use Line Details for this purpose.

The recorder page number can be shown with the Pages name in the navigation tree. See Recorder Details, Advanced, Show Page Number on Navigation Tree.



When an item is selected on the navigation tree, you can use the right arrow key to open it, and the left arrow key to close it.
You can use the up and down arrow keys to move up and down items in the tree.

The Recorder Home items is prevented from being opened and closed, it is always protected from being closed unless the setting "Allow Home Expand/Collapse" is made in Recorder Details, Advanced Settings.

 

Navigation Tree Display - Log View

With Log Home open, showing entries for logs. Click the + sign next to Log Home to open the Log display, click the - sign next to Log Home to close the Log display.

This example shows Log Home open, click Alarm Log to view Alarm Log or other MicroScan Logs.

Last Pages Display

Show Hide/Tree Navigation Tree

The arrow buttons at the bottom of the navigation area are used to show or hide the navigation tree.

Click the button to hide the navigation tree.
Click the button to show the navigation tree.

The tree can be hidden to give a bigger screen display for the Recorder view area. If the Navigation Tree is hidden, when the program is closed and started again, the Navigation Tree will be shown open.
