The printed manual is replaced by this Training Guide and online help with support via Help buttons on dialog boxes and the F1 key on MicroScan software.

Screen Display

All Programs such as Recorder, Mimic, Logs, Setup Tools are displayed within the one window, and the Navigation tree is used to select what screen is displayed.

Program limits are increased, it is now possible to:

• Display up to 100 Recorder pages, 100 Mimic Pages
• Use up to 5000 tags
• Access up to 400 remote stations, access stations via serial port or Ethernet (connects to 2100-NET or 2100-A16-NET).

All limits are dependent on the licence purchased for size of module operations, further limits are applied for MicroScan Lite software.

The programs menu and dialog box designs have been kept as close as is possible to Version 4 layouts.

Setup Tools

The Setup Tools screen is the central access point to setup MicroScan, descriptive hyper links are used to identify setup commands.
Networking is supported with easy to use Network Setup Tools, Network Passives are licenced to restrict the number of passives that can be run according to those that have been purchased.
Job Management is supported with several management tools for the backup, creation and selection of jobs.

Windows Versions

The software is written as a 32 bit application, suitable for use on Windows 2000, XP (Recommended) and Windows 95,98 and Me.
It will not operate on Windows Versions 3.0, 3.1.
