You use the MicroScan Data backup tools to copy data from the computer to another location.

This could be done for:

• Viewing the data on another computer
• Saving the data for archival purposes
• Guarding against computer failure or theft
• As part of  your companies computer usage policies

The data backup should be setup and maintained as part of your business plan, to ensure the security of data so that it can be retained should the need arise (for insurance needs or regulatory body requirements).

To backup data, you use:

• Auto Backup Data Files to backup data on a regular basis to a File Server.
• Backup All Data Files to backup all data files to a zipped archive
• Backup Data Files to backup selected data files to a zipped archive
• Backup Recently Data Files to backup recently changed data files to a zipped archive
• Manually backup data using the tool of your choice
