When the Mimics are running the Remote Editor's Options are normally set so that it is hidden in the MicroScan System Tray.

A Mimic buttons are then setup so that they can directly displays the Remote Editor's forms.

To set up a Mimic Button follow these steps:

1. Add a new button to a Mimic Page.
2. Select the General Tab.
3. Select Button Type = Utility
4. Enter the Title Text, Description Text, Hot Key and Password Protection to suit.
5. Select the Utility Setup Tab.
6. Select Function = DDE Poke.
7. Set Param1 = Mscan ToolBox Remote Editor
8. Set Param2 = Select
9. Set Param3 = Task
10. For Param4 enter the required Task number followed by a description of the form to display:

If setting up buttons for say Task 3, then Param would be:

1. "3-RecipeSelect" for the Select Recipe form for task 3.
2. "3-RecipeSetup" for the Recipe Setup form for Task 3.
3. "3-CurrentValues" for the Current Values form for Task 3.
4. "3-RecipeView" for the View Batch form for Task 3.

Now when the Mimic is run and the button is clicked the MicroScan Tool Box Remote Editor's respective form will appear displaying any "Remote_Value" Items in Task 3.

Note that the MicroScan Remote Editor program must be set to Start with MicroScan.
